Who Knew?
I'm taking EDEA 604 in my last semester in my master's program. I know, that's not the way it's supposed to be. Yes, 604 is recommended for earlier in the curriculum, but I actually think it is very valuable for me to be taking it while I'm finishing my "thesis". Why? Because what we're learning in 604 directly impacts my "thesis" and all of it is fresh in my mind as I'm wrapping up my writing. I am pretty sure that if I took 604 in my first couple of semesters, all of the information would have totally been forgotten. Of course, taking 604 while finishing my writing makes me re-think so much of the structure and writing of my thesis; I really need to make myself take a step back at a certain point so that I don't over-analyze or over-edit. Ultimately, taking 604 this semester re-emphasizes and refuels my desire to pursue and hone my qualitative research knowledge and skills. I completely appreciate this course - *sigh* - it's good to be able to say that at the end of my last semester before graduation! =)
